Hi, Diane. I’m sure you remember how that shot of the three guys on the Moyie upper deck originated. That’s me, Mark Rota and his brother Jim. It was part of a publicity photo set for our band, Buchanan Rawhide. Jim subbed in for our drummer, David Platt, who lived in Nelson. You also made us business cards and a poster featuring a horse sliding down a mountain trail on a sack of ore wrapped in rawhide. Thanks for the memories.

Enjoyed your article. My grandfather moved to Mirror Lake in 1955. My grandmother ran that little post office, and paid to have it preserved where it stands now. I did Kindergarten, and 4-7 there. Saddened when we had to move in 1977. Keep Trekking on that historical, and sometimes hysterical, trail...

Thanks Donna, I really like learning that your grandfather and grandmother are part of Kaslo history!

Hi Dianne, enjoyed your blog. Still living in Birchdale across the lake after 51 years. Good memories of you and your brother in Kaslo years.
